Working closely with Ipswich City Council and other stakeholders in a Planning and Design Forum, Roberts Day was able to unlock the 77 ha site and effectively triple our clients’ residential yield and commercial floor space for what Council applauded as a model project at the neighbourhood increment.
With Stage 1 due to commence before 2009, Corymbia Woods will eventually comprise approximately 2,000 dwellings, a mix of uses and building types, and a full spectrum of living experiences from urban to rural, all within a five to 10-minute walk.
Within months of the Design Forum, a CAD plan was developed in collaboration with our team of technical specialists and an application package submitted to Council. Approval is anticipated by June 2008, a little more than one year since the project’s inception.
