Harvest Lakes is Western Australia’s first large-scale ‘GreenSmart Village’ and is the recipient of several UDIA and HIA awards for excellence in sustainable design and development.

Features of the project that contribute to these accolades include passive solar oriented lots, energy-efficient housing and public buildings and stormwater recycling.

Located approximately 20km south of the Perth CBD and immediately east of the future Atwell Train Station, Harvest Lakes will yield approximately 1,000 home sites and a village centre, contained on a 115ha site.

The community incorporates a choice of housing and mixed land uses focused around an accessible village centre and prominent neighbourhood parks. The Village Centre embraces traditional “Main Street” design principles, with a strong pedestrian focus and capacity to accommodate a variety of land uses accessible during all hours of the day. The mix and intensity of uses within the Village Centre support the adjacent Atwell transit station and ensure Harvest Lakes will establish itself as a benchmark transit-oriented community.

The exceptional commercial success enjoyed by this project is testimony to the high level of market demand for sustainable environmental design and transit oriented development.
