At 70 dwellings per hectare and no building higher than three storeys, the soon-to-be-approved Keidges Road master plan dispels the myth that higher density transit-oriented development (TOD) will destroy urban character and amenity. To the contrary, Roberts Day’s master plan creates three distinct urban characters and features open spaces on almost half the site.

By collaborating with transit providers and other major stakeholders, the future for South Redbank Plains has been transformed. Instead of a ‘park and ride’ facility next to a conventional 79-lot subdivision, Keidges Road Station will, over time, become a celebrated asset and vibrant hub for the wider community.

The vision focuses on significantly improving access between the site and adjacent future train station. Synergies have been forged by maximising pedestrian and cyclist access; densities; the ability to ‘park and ride’; bus interchange opportunities; public domain quality; housing diversity and affordability; and the flexibility of building types to support a range of uses over time.
