Our team was thrilled to share in the success of our clients at the recent 2019 UDIA WA Awards for Excellence, where three RobertsDay projects took out top awards with a focus on environmental sustainability and innovation.

Urban Treechange a Winning Proposition for Bushmead

Cedar Woods Property’s Bushmead development won the highly coveted Residential Development (Over 250 Lots) Award, with UDIA Judges recognising the project as a high quality, sustainable residential development with a ‘clear commitment to the protection and improvement of the natural environment’.

RobertsDay developed Bushmead's award-winning urban design and secured all planning approvals including rezoning, structure planning and subdivision, led by Partner Dan Pearce.

One of only six communities in Western Australia to achieve 6-Leaf EnviroDevelopment Accreditation, a focus on tree retention and revegetation has established the project as a sustainable development exemplar. Two thirds of all 6-Leaf projects in WA are planned and designed by RobertsDay.

Sustainable Development Leadership recognised at Allara

The second RobertsDay project to take home a gong was Allara, which received the prestigious EnviroDevelopment Chairman’s Choice Award. A joint venture of Satterley Property Group and Landcorp (now Development WA), UDIA judges commended the project’s innovative and exemplary approach to sustainable development.

RobertsDay’s team of urban designers and planners have driven the design development and planning implementation of this innovative development since inception, also led by Partner Dan Pearce.

Bike sharing facilities, an onsite recycling centre, extensive green space, solar panels and energy smart meter monitoring, and a busy community events calendar were all recognised by Judges as adding great benefit to residents and ensuring long term sustainability.

Another Award for Ellenbrook

RobertsDay also congratulates Now Living on its Marketing Excellence Award win for the Verge Micro-lot product at Ellenbrook. Developed in partnership with LWP Property, Department of Communities and RobertsDay, Micro-lots are a pioneering ‘missing middle’ alternative to apartment living which showcase innovation in the delivery of housing density and diversity.

UDIA Judges recognised the positive benefits of engagement with industry and government to build support for Micro-lot product, which has attracted significant buyer interest and delivered strong sales performance. Ellenbrook’s Micro-lots were previously recognised by UDIA as the Best Small-Scale Infill Project of 2018.

This is Ellenbrook’s 43rd industry award, further establishing the project as Australia’s most-awarded master planned community. RobertsDay’s planning of the wider project is led by Partners Tim Trefry and Ryan Darby.
