Dubai Waterfront

Dubai

Between 2006 and 2010 RobertsDay led the visioning and design of some of the most renowned projects in the United Arab Emirates.

Waterfront is the foundation of a new city of 1.5 million people on the last 15km of natural coastline in Dubai.

Nakheel commissioned RobertsDay to undertake a peer review of the 12,000ha Waterfront City project in November 2006. RobertsDay led a series of visioning, strategy and design workshops and provided masterplanning design and implementation recommendations.

The RobertsDay masterplan for Veneto, Phase 3 of the project, re-introduced the traditional principle of mixed-use, walkable urbanism back into Dubai, a City renowned for its car dependence. Veneto’s series of compact and walkable neighbourhoods were amongst the most sought-after areas by buyers at the project launch.
